The home in question is a mobile home. Any special secrets? My 1982 Bonneville mobile home has black mold in around the water heater, behind the tub/toilet and under the kitchen sink. The bathtub has been replaced, the kitchen faucet has been replaced and not sure if its the water heater or something else. But just want to know what has worked for anyone.

Why do my windowsills keep getting wet, then end up with black mold on them?

We live in Wisconsin, where it is very cold from November-March. I realize that condensation is causing the wood on the windowsill to get wet; is this due to the quality of our windows? Is there anything that I can do to stop this (possibly caulking between wood and windows)? Any way to clean the black mold off of the wood? Will sanding the wood and re-staining clean this up?

How can I clean Black Mold from carpet?

I just moved out of my apartment, and after moving some furniture, discovered some black mold growing on the carpet (and into the wood of my furniture which we had to just toss)…Its not a huge area, how can I clean it? The carpet is mauve, and therefore, I don’t think bleach would be a good idea…
I can’t replace the carpet…Or rather, I am not willing to do that…

Is it still the landlords’s responsibilty if it was possibly caused by a spill that wasn’t properly cleaned? I imagine that is what happened, although I have no way of knowing for sure…But it was in the area around the base of the nightstand in the bedroom…maybe someone dumped a water or something…I imagine that I am responsible for that…?
