A black mold with strong smell of ammonia?

Some pudding was found covered in a black, powdery mold that had a strong smell of ammonia. Does anyone have an idea of what it could be?

    If you detect a visible mold growth, eliminate it as soon as possible! Or the mold could spread through the house and cause an extensive mold infestation, which is usually not covered by insurance.

    Alternaria could be your mold. Its spores are common in household dust. The ammonia smell could have been from breakdown of proteins in the pudding. If you have access to a microscope, you could scrape some of the spores from the growth. The spores appear similar to a hand grenade. Here is a link:
