I saw this program on Sky tv where a mould in USA made a family very sick,

No, they can not. Exposure to black molds results in respiratory symptoms. Meningitis and encephalitis are both commonly caused by viruses, however they can result from bacteria.

It can cause the death of babies from respiratory bleeding, or can cause illnesses such as asthma and bronchitis.
this mold is responsible for over “100 cases of lung disorders”.
