Seems like it was your fault. Sue yourself.

Since you are moving out, no. If you were still in residence and were complaining of heath problems, yes.

medical, perhaps, but if it is an apartment thay need to be aware of the situation so no one else is subjected to it. You have no rights to the property, therefore have no right to sue for any damages unless it has affected your personal things.

not necessarily. Molds are very common in households actually unless you have a very good filtration system if you have air conditioning like central heat and air ..you have a filter . it has to be changed regularly to keep the air dust and spore free.mold is in the air and depending how well ventilated or air conditioned your house or apt. is will keep mold down. If there is high humidity (mostly in cold weather) because of heat or the need for heat which produces humidity which is the level of moisture in the air. If you do not dispel it it will feed mold spores which unchecked can take over whole rooms. You would have to prove negligence and liability as well as actual damage.more than likely your stuff may be damaged but through who’s fault you may have brought in the mold yourself and did not properly ventilate your house or apt.You may however get the landlord to pay for cleanup if you can prove faulty maintenance.like leaky roof improper insulation.all this may cost you more to find out than you may be able to get out of a lawsuit.Hopefully if the mold is very bad ,you can find another place.

Why is everybodies 1st thought to sueing, if there’s a bit of mold which hasn’t caused any harm and could possibly have been the result of poor storage on your part an easy approach would be to notify the landlord and ask for it to be dealt with.

By sueing landlords over the smallest things you end up shooting yourself in the foot indirectly. The landlord would rely on insurance which will bump up the cost of the premium which under most tenancies or leases is either paid by the tenant or reflected in the rent.
