It'll come back if the bottom gets wet again. You may want to seal the wood with a sealant, but be careful of which type you use and if you use an anti-fungicide be sure if they are safe for kitchen use. But that does not keep it from reoccurring. It may help to rub it with some veg. oil (Not a lot). That would seal the wood temporally. The bleach should do the trick.
