I was reading up on different symptoms of dog and mold(toxic and nontoxic) allergies in humans. I couldn’t find how long on average it took for symptoms to start showing though. Is there any specific amount of time? I don’t have any allergies myself, so I was just wondering weather they began to show automaticly when coming into contact with the item you’re allergic to.

I have had severe allergy/sinus/hive problems since moving into our house two years ago. I took an allergy test and found I am allergic to everything but goose feathers! We found mold in our crawl space and immediately had it treated, we got air purifiers, switched to leather couches and got rid of the carpet and had the vents cleaned, we are living in a sterile bubble! The problem is, I still can’t breath! We just found out our house is located right on top of the MAIN sewer line for twelve other houses. Could the pipes underground be leaking and causing some kind of mold or allergin to creep up in the soil and into our house? There are no odors. The city is filling the pipe and redirecting the pipe, so everyones waste isin’t flowing directly underneath us, but could the dirt underneath the house have anything toxic in it that could cause severe allergy problems. I don’t want to have to move my family but I don’t know of any other options. Thank you for any help you can provide.

What actions do I take to get the home screened? I have read that some molds can be toxic and can even lead to cancer. My husband just went to the hospital because his sinuses were causing him so much pain, I’m constantly sneezing and have gotten rashes and my son has had breathing problems and he doesn’t even have asthma! He is 4 years old and he has also woken up over 3 or 4 times with nosebleeds! Help!

I’ve never seen an air filter this bad. Is it possible this is black mold? (I have several boxes full of papers in my house that came out of a house that definitely had a mold problem & the boxes & papers don’t smell so good). We also burn a lot of candles – like we have 2-3 candles lit all evening almost every evening. What do you think? Should I be worried about mold?

My roommate in college ate some clam chowder a few weeks ago and left the remainder sitting out… she left for the weekend and the smell got really bad all of a sudden, and i think it’s making me sick. i’m having a lot of weird symptoms like scratchy throat and very bad caugh, dizzyness/lightheadedness, stomach pain and digestion problems, and this weird tiredness i’ve never had before (and i had mono!) where whenever i’m in the room i just randomly get very sleepy and sleep for about a half an hour before waking up. it’s been happening for the last 3 days, and i feel better when i’m not in the room.

the mold is black and green, i put the bowl by the window and took a very quick picture on my cell since i didn’t want to be close to it:

I genuinely don’t know anything about mold so I have no idea what to do about this… it’s making me very sick though!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
