A thick layer of greyish green mold was growing in a bottle of neglected juice. I poured it out — in order to rinse and recycle the bottle — but once the mold hit the sink drain and water came into contact with it, it began to produce visible fume-like vapors into the air. Has anyone else experienced this fuming effect of mold, and could anyone tell me how toxic it may have been? Is the best thing for mold not to be released at all — i.e., in this case, for me to have thrown out the bottle without re-opening it?

Is there a bread that will make visible mold faster than white bread, because I really want to finish my project, and I only have until February 6th to turn it in.
