Octav asked:

The food i store in my fridge grows mold very quickly, in a matter of days,if i keep it in a closed container. Is it normal?

What is the best way to store my food in the fridge, for it to stop developing mold, and why does it appear?

If a potato has a little mold on the outside, is it okay to eat if I peel it?

Big Bear, Doin Thangs asked:

It’s mildew or mold I’m not really sure. It’s like a small white cottonish blotch on the side. Is it okay to peel off or does it actually penetrate the skin a bit?

Thanks.
It’s a tiny spot, half the size of a dime. I’m not too grossed out by it, I’m just concerned with getting ill. The potatoes aren’t old, I just left them out in a rather humid area. I’ll will take the middle ground and toss it but save the rest of them. They seem to be spot free.

This may sound wierd, but my brother-in-law is graduating college and he asked for a huge red gummy spider. I found a recipe to make gummy bears but I have no clue how to make a jello mold. Can anyone help me? I would really appreciate it.

Is mold on the cap of your sour cream container ok?

Kristin R asked:

I noticed a small amount of mold on the top of the sour cream container cap…after I ate it. The expiration date wasn’t until 8/4 and there was no visible signs of mold on the actual sour cream. I threw it out, I just want to find out if the people I fed are going to get sick or not.
1. I threw it out
2. I didn’t realize it had mold until AFTER it had been served.
