Black Mold

I am a college student, and I unplugged my fridge to defrost it when I went home for winter break like I was told to, but I shut the door before I left and forgot about an open jar of mayo in there. When I got back, there was black mold spotting the inside door and the bottom two racks. I have cleaned it out for the time being with dish soap and water, but I don’t have any money right now to buy bleach. I am planning to bleach it after I get paid next week, but in the meantime, is it okay to store food in there?

I have since thrown out the mayo, if anyone was wondering.

Well, heres the dilemma, weve been trying to remove it ourselves 3 times with no luck. Now we are going to the management about this problem. We had to vacate our back room (our bedroom) because the insulation is completely gone. We’d rack up 200 a month just to heat the room. Anyways, Thats where the mold growth is the worst.

I notified them last night in writing and i get a letter stating I need to read my handbook to ventilate my apartment better. I have 2 children who are little and cant do it since their screens fit improper.

Is it my duty to clean the mold when it keeps returning? Espcially it being BLACK mold as well??????
