Is clay toxic?

So I’ve had a ball python for a little while now, I made his hide boxes myself from scratch using tape and cardboard. (it made the tank feel more appealing to the eye). So now time has come around and after seeing some flaws with cardboard and tape I want to use clay hideboxes. the problem is that i only found two types, ovendry and airdry. the ovendry stated that it contained silica…or something. simply put it had the potential to release cancer causing fumes…. so i got child safe airdry clay…. do anyone think that this clay may have any effects on my pet. it has no warnings on it and if its for small children then im assuming they expect some to be swallowed so it wont be toxic….
I would just like some feedback from people that may know clay and if it can hurt my snake.

they clay type is “prang molding clay”

this really seems kinda like an artsy question but none the less.
