Hi, I need an expert advice regards to mold in the house please?

DKNY D asked:

I had water leak for who knows how long, but this past weekend I found out it was pretty bad. I tore down the drywall in our dining area and found water dripping from a copper pipe that was connected to the other side of the room for our guest bathroom. I am now waiting on insurance adjuster to come take a look since it looks like entire wall has black mold damage. I had ripped off entire wall on dining area side, and took it outside. But did not touch the bathroom side of the wall since it has expensive tile attached to it, and also wanted for adjuster to take a look at damage as much as possible. Of course I took tons of photos as I was tearing down the dry wall. NOW, what can I do as far as temporary to avoid being sick from it. Should I turn on AC or off AC and windows open with fan? any suggestion please! Thank you so much~!!

You need to exhaust air from the area of the mold to the outside, and get a dehumidifier working. There are hundreds of molds, not all of them make you sick!

spray it with a 50/50 mixture of bleach and water, this will kill the mold. and open as many windows as possible.

Check out the remarkable research on toxic mold removal done by environmental expert Dr Ed Close. Simply diffusing Thieves essential oil regularly will likely result in an environment very hostile to mold.

Cost of the Thieves Household Cleaner, a diffuser and a couple bottles of the Thieves oil that Dr Close recommends to his remediation clients: about $250.

BTW: EPA says DO NOT use bleach against mold…
