Octav asked:

The food i store in my fridge grows mold very quickly, in a matter of days,if i keep it in a closed container. Is it normal?

What is the best way to store my food in the fridge, for it to stop developing mold, and why does it appear?

Just because it’s refrigerated, it doesn’t mean it will stay fresh.

You gotta buy some good tupperware. It’s worth it ’cause you’ll save money on all the food you won’t be throwing away.

Eat it before it goes bad and don’t buy more than you can eat in a week.

A fridge is to keep food cool, not to store it permanently. Food must be eaten within three to seven days it landed up in the fridge. Buy less and finish the leftovers. In other words: “Eat your food”.
    Peace.

If you want long-term storage, freeze your food.

If the mold develops REALLY fast in the fridge, maybe the temperature setting is wrong? It should be on maximum 5ºC (41ºF), but a lot of people actually don’t reach those temperatures.

Well, mold is definitely a strong indicator that the food no longer has the same nutritional integrity as it did before. When you open your refridgerater door and look at the food in there and think to yourself.”I probably won’t get around to eating that”; that’s probably the moment where you scrape it into the trash right there.

mold appears because the bacteria in the air settles on your food and reproduces in your food heaps and turns fluffy. it all depends on the food. try adjusting the temperature in your fridge….bacteria like mould like warm temperatures so your fridge might be too cool.
