I find these little black spots (specs) on my pillow every now and then. why?

An honest guy asked:

My hair is clean and always dried. Could it be mold? Could it be from insects? anything?? what is it?

The first thing that popped into my head was mascara flakes because I always find black specs on my pillows from that if I leave it on lol, but unless it only happens when you have ladies over then I doubt that’s what it is.

It could possibley be insects,fleas,bedbugs,etc.. because I was reading up on stuff that stated…

“Spots of blood left on bed sheets indicate bed bug biting. Brownish black specks (feces) and bed bug “shells” (old exoskeletons) indicate a bed bug harborage. ”

I would just keep your sheets and pillow cases extremely clean from now on, wash them more than regularly. You can always call an exterminater to come spray the house & area, even if that may not be what this is, it wouldn’t hurt to give it a try.
It may not even be bugs, but I figure it’s much better to be safe when it comes to situations like that, so you can rest much easier.

As far as mold..it could be a possibility. Some molds use the humidity in the air as their only water source, and have been known to spruce up in certain areas…there are so many 1,000′s of types of mold, it’s hard to really determine how it comes about.
Safest bet I suggest…Wash your sheets frequently…have someone spray the place. It’s about that time of year anyway so it’s best to be safe, and clear that worry out of your mind. I hope everything gets resolved hun cause I can see where that would be worrisome.
