lucky G asked:

I put a bird feeder in my front yard. Unfortunately, I have attracted pigeons and with them their POOP! I have lived here for 27yrs., and never seen a pigeon on my property, the question is.. I need a strong non-toxic disinfectant so i could prevent viruses, mold , bacteria etc..
but i don’t want to harm other animals…Help!

Bleach, diluted to the correct concentration, is pretty safe.

    Diluted bleash is the best.
Vinegar can work very well too.
There are commercial products but they are a rip-off. Just be careful when using bleach.

I use Holy Cow cleaner. It is non-toxic and biodegradable. I use the cleaner to wipe off caked on poop off my pet’s perch. I first soak the poop with water, wipe off, then finish with Holy Cow cleaner to disinfect.

The all purpose cleaner is mild enough to use on fabrics, but powerful enough to disinfect. I use the all-purpose pink formula.

Better than attracting humans who poop in your yard.

get yourself some poop-off at local pet stores. Works great. Apple cider vinegar also works wonderful.
