Possibility of mold making me sick?

I have been sick for about a month now. The symptoms include dizziness, light sensitivity, fatigue, mood changes like irritibility, anxiety, and mild depression. It is affecting my life severely. When I am home, it is difficult to do anything because I feel so bad all the time. I have been to the doctor and he cannot find anything wrong with me. The other day (after i saw the doctor) we found large patches of a black mold growing behind our sink which has been leaking for a while. There was also some reddish mold in the bathroom ceiling tiles and shower. A little bit of blackish mold in the shower. Do you think that could be possibly causing me an illness? I have been living here for 6 months (renting) and got pnemonia 2 weeks after I moved in, occasional dizzy spells, and a bad sinus infection a few weeks ago. Someone with any knowledge of this, please help. This illness is ruining my life.

The timing sounds like it could be an allergy to something and mold is a possibility. The danger of mold has been overhyped but some people are allergic. Maybe you should try to stay somewhere else for a few days and see if you get better. Good luck on whatever it is. I hope you figure it out and get better.
At the moment, im watching extreme home makeover and a family had to leave there house because of the same symptons your house have. most probably it will grow and get worse. i think you should get some sort of speicalist in there now to sort out the problem, or you could get worse

Yes you are sick from the mold. I am a mold survivor. I could list 20 symptoms if I had the time but I’m at work. Here’s summary of what you NEED TO KNOW.
1- Most doctors are unwilling or unable to treat you.
2- DO NOT take antibiotics. You will get sicker.
3- If you have a compromised immune system (AIDS, PREGNANT, OLD AGE, YOUNG BABIES) IT CAN KILL YOU.
4- Get OUT of your house ASAP. DO NOT take anything porous with you. YES you have to leave everything unless you can clean it with bleach water. Many of your clothing items must be left. You MUST disinfect EVERYTHING before putting it in your new home.
5- If you have plans for a pregnancy, put them on hold until you can find a doctor who will treat you for fungi.
6- Diflucan works on 50% of mold. You have a 50-50 shot at killing the fungi in your body using Diflucan. Don’t bother taking it until AFTER you leave the house.
7- 80% of all sinus infections have fungi in the cultures. Research is being done currently by Medical Colleges to combat this epidemic.
8- There is currently NO sinus spray on the market to treat fungal sinus infections however there are currently 2 pharmaceutical companies developing them to put on the market very soon.

Out of 7 doctors that treated me, only ONE did it successfully. The other 6 doctors made me sicker by giving me antibiotics. MANY doctors have not been trained in these illnesses because it’s a fairly new thing.
Antibiotics cause yeast infections in women. Yeast is a fungi. Imagine what antibiotics will do if you have fungi in your lungs. You can get Parkinson’s like diseases because it invades your brain. I lost 40% of my hearing and now have 20/50 vision in both eyes. I almost lost my job because I could not function.
But, I am getting much better. The Diflucan worked thank GOD, but the long term effects are Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I am 31 years old. A year ago I slept 5 hours a night, worked 8 hours and went clubbing with my friends until 3 am. Now, I need 10-12 hours per night and I only go out occasionally when I’m up to it. Mold is also getting me sick and doctors can’t do squat! Feel like I have no options. I think I even passed the mold to a friend. Should I go to the hospital?
