Black Mold

Friday, 2/29/08 my husband found mold growing along our bedroom window seal & in the tracks. I went to each room & checked there as well. There was mold found in one other bedroom. We have vertical blinds & I keep them closed most of the time. If my husband hadn’t looked out the window we would still not know about it.
I am very concerned. Both my husband & my self have been experiencing flu like symptoms. I myself have headaches for weeks now & all along we just believed we were still suffering from the flu. It has been over a month now & I’m starting to believe we are showing signs of allergies to the mold, & praying it’s not toxic. I don’t believe we are have these type of symptoms. To my knowledge anyway.
My question is what steps should we take with the builder to ensure our rights, if any are protected? I belive the builder should be responsible but do not believe they will be very supportive. Also, would this fall under the warranty? WHAT DO WE DO? YOUR HELP IS APPRECIATED.

I went camping and a book got wet due to my tent flooding. I had it sitting out with the pages fanned out to dry. I went to check it earlier and noticed mold growing in it. How do I get rid of it and how do I know if the mold is toxic? I am allergic to most molds so I want to get rid of the mold asap!

The book is too important to just throw away and replace.

Do you think it is mold? and if so, what kind is it most likely and is it toxic? I also saw ants walking near it. Any help would be great. Thanks
