Some mold species are more toxic than other species. The Russians gave 30 horses petri dishes with Stachybotrys Chartarum growing on them, to see what the health effects would be. All 30 horses died. They lowered the dose, and the horse got really sick and had a rash around its mouth. However, all mold is toxic and should be cleaned up. Mold is everywhere. You cannot get away from it. However, do you want to live in a home that has more mold in it, than the outside? If there is more mold inside your house, you would be better off living outside and calling the inside, “toxic”. When the mold inside your house is only 1/5 the mold levels outside, then you can call the outside, “toxic” and stay indoors. This is why they say, if you have more mold inside your house, then outside, you have a serious mold problem. When we talk about “toxic mold” you have to realize that Alcohol is toxic. There is no harm in drinking one or two beers, because our liver and immune system filters out a small amount of alcohol. However, if we drink several beers, in a short period of time, we will become, “intoxicated”. We know about how much alcohol a person can drink before they become intoxicated. Becoming intoxicated a few times, does not show any serious health effects, but if you become intoxicated every day for years on end, it will destroy your liver and cause other serious diseases.
