Black Mold

Today a tile from the side of my shower popped out and it looks like this black web-like stuff is growing on the inside of it. It doesn’t look like that much but thats only talking about one tile. Two tiles came out (one small and one wide). The wide one has the black web-like stuff all over it and the smaller one doesn’t have anything on it. Behind it looks like wood or something and it’s all black. I think it might be black mold. I heard that after I remove it I should turn on the vent fan in my bathrooms for at least 20 min. after showering to prevent more black mold growing. I don’t know what to do and I’m not sure if its black mold or not. I need help.
They’re not falling off my wall. There has always been these two loose tiles that came off when I my mom was cleaning the bathroom. Thats where I saw it.

I had water leak for who knows how long, but this past weekend I found out it was pretty bad. I tore down the drywall in our dining area and found water dripping from a copper pipe that was connected to the other side of the room for our guest bathroom. I am now waiting on insurance adjuster to come take a look since it looks like entire wall has black mold damage. I had ripped off entire wall on dining area side, and took it outside. But did not touch the bathroom side of the wall since it has expensive tile attached to it, and also wanted for adjuster to take a look at damage as much as possible. Of course I took tons of photos as I was tearing down the dry wall. NOW, what can I do as far as temporary to avoid being sick from it. Should I turn on AC or off AC and windows open with fan? any suggestion please! Thank you so much~!!

My mom’s bathroom has poor ventilation and the walls are always full of black mold stains, how can you get rid of them or cover them up, even better, how can you make them go away? I’ve tried mold and mildew resistant paint and it still comes back! What can I do? Tile is out of the question, the bathroom is too small. The walls are just concrete and paint. Please Help!

Exposure Black Mold

The was a fire on the 3rd floor last week, and I live on the 1st floor of the condo. We just had insurance people come by the other day to have them to check out damages. Most of water leakage happened in the laundry room, and through out the inspections, they found black mold underneath the tile. We don’t know how bad it is yet and how long it’s been there. But the insurance companies(homeowner’s & buiding insurance)told me that they dont cover mold. They also said that they won’t even touch the area where the mold is and we really need to fix up the damges from the fire. What do I need to do? Do I have the contractor hire someone for the mold inspection? My neighbors are urging me to get somebody out right away to check out the mold. How much would this cost out of my pocket? I need some help.
