What does black mold look like?

I was just wondering if any one on here would know what black mold would look like if it were on a bathtub? I am asking because I was just cleaning out my bathtub and there are some black circular spots on my bathtub? I am not sure what it is. Also, there is rust on my drain in my bathtub. What would be a very good cleaner to help remove the rust?

Okay for you rude people, I asked this question because I have never seen black mold before. And FYI I know that it is black I just wanted to know what it would look like as far as the shape of it and if it were to be flat or if hair would be on it or something like that. If the question is so stupid to you then please dont answer it.

Black mold is of course black and is usually found in a damp area usually behind the toilet it grow and is very hard to wash off it looks like peach fuzz just black and growing on your wall !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is, of course black. Most bathtub mold is pink. Black mold is fuzzy, scary-looking and sort of raised up. If you spray it directly with full strength bleach it goes away. Temporarily. Cleans the pink stuff, too & Sink food-catcher. Oh, lots of stuff. Bleach is great
Yes, you can have a black mold on your tub. There are a number of molds that are black. The black scary one on TV’s 60 minutes is a wall black mold. It actually lives on the drywall of a house behind the wall. It emits an odor similar to sour cheese.
As far as appearance, you would need a microscope to see if this black is indeed mold. Mold is oblong and in cluster about .1 mm long and about .05 mm round.
The CDC of center for disease control in Atlanta reports that black mold is not dangerous to most people. If one is allegric to molds any mold is a problem and should be removed. But as far as black mold is concerned its not dangerous to most people and they dont even consider it a hazzard. You can view the report on CDC net.

Try pouring some undiluted household bleach on it. Or, take an old rag, that you can afford to throw out when done, and soak it with bleach and leave it on the spot for an hour or two. If the spot’s mold, bleach should pretty much kill it and the rag should wipe it away. For the rust, try one of those new Mr.Clean erasers. Never used one myself, but I’ve heard good things about them. Otherwise, scrub it with cleanser and that should remove surface rust.
