Most mold can be cleaned up. Just wear a mask and rubber cloves. It doesn’t cost much,
First wash with a mild detergent solution, such as laundry detergent and warm water. Allow to dry.
Then wipe with a solution of ¼ cup bleach to one quart of water. Wait 20 minutes and repeat. Wait another 20 minutes.
Last apply a borate-based detergent solution and don’t rinse. This will help prevent mold from growing again. A borate-based laundry or dish washer detergent has “borate” listed on the ingredients label.

If it is inside your living space, I would think you would be. Face mask or scarf, rubber gloves, paper towels and bleach. Cover yourself and just clean it like you would if it were dirt. Be sure to tell your landlord about it so that he can have this addressed as it is may be in the walls or floors, if it is not just a temporary thing.

It depends on the laws in your area. Usually if you are renting, it is the landlords job to make sure there is no mold in the apt. If you have a lease or other contract that you signed when you moved in, check that to see if you have to clean it up or not.
